About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Sales & Administration Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a varied and fast-paced role that combines customer service, sales support, administration, and operational coordination.
As a key member of the business, you will be responsible for supporting the sales function, managing customer enquiries, processing orders, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of office administration. You will act as an important link between customers, suppliers, and internal teams, helping to deliver an exceptional customer experience while supporting business growth.
This role would suit someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys building relationships, working in a busy environment, and contributing to both customer satisfaction and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support
- Providing first-class support to customers via telephone and email.
- Assisting with customer enquiries and generating quotations.
- Following up enquiries and supporting sales activity where required.
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Working closely with customers to ensure a seamless order process.
- Identifying opportunities to add value and support business growth.
Administration & Office Support
- Maintaining accurate customer records and company databases.
- Preparing documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Managing general office administration and filing systems.
- Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Supporting the wider team with administrative tasks and projects.
- Ensuring company systems and records are kept up to date.
Operations & Logistics Coordination
- Liaising with suppliers to place orders and monitor stock availability.
- Coordinating deliveries and collections with customers and transport providers.
- Tracking orders from initial enquiry through to successful completion.
- Providing customers with updates on delivery schedules and order progress.
- Resolving issues relating to deliveries, shortages, returns, and customer queries.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.
Driving Duties
- Undertaking occasional local deliveries and collections when required.
- Representing the company professionally while visiting customers and suppliers.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Aged 21 or over for company vehicle insurance purposes.
- Previous experience within an administration, office support, customer service, or sales support role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.
- Professional, positive, and team-focused approach.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment.
Desirable
- Experience within a sales administration, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, industrial, or trade environment.
- Experience processing orders and coordinating customer deliveries.
- Knowledge of CRM or ERP systems.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to supporting sales growth.
