Role: Ocean Freight Operator Import / Exports Location: South Manchester / Airport Working Hours Typically 9-5.30am Mon Fri - Post successful probation period the option to work flexi up to 20% of the week from home. Salary: Up to 35k DOE Overview: My client is seeking a dedicated Ocean Freight Operator, to work from their Manchester branch, who can apply their strong operation knowledge to handle exports and some import shipments as part of an experienced team. They are looking for somebody who has a minimum of two years experience in one of these transport modes. Operation is run cradle to grave handling new bookings, through all shipping processes, revenue generation and responsibility for the job file PandL. Tasks and responsibilities: Independent handling of ocean export shipments from start to finish including booking, shipment control, documentation, transport insurance, accounting and customs handling, will also handle occasional ocean and air imports.
