Pertemps Croydon seeks a Nursery Assistant for flexible supply work in Selsdon, paying £12.71 per hour on a temporary basis. This role suits Early Years practitioners wanting control over their weekly schedule while building consistent experience across multiple settings. Assignments operate ad-hoc or short-term, with potential to extend into longer placements. Duties span baby, toddler, and preschool rooms, covering play-based learning, supervision, routine care, and teamwork. Candidates need solid safeguarding knowledge, an understanding of child development, and age-appropriate practice. We are looking for experienced Early Years Practitioners to join our flexible supply pool. This is ideal for practitioners who want choice over the days they work while still gaining consistent experience across Early Years setting.
About the role:
- Flexible supply work across nurseries and early years rooms
- Work offered on an ad-hoc or short-term basis, depending on your availability (can also lead to longer term roles)
- Support across baby, toddler and preschool rooms as needed
- General support duties including play-based learning, supervision, routine care and working as part of a team
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, child development and age-appropriate practice
- Level 2, Early Years qualification is highly desirable or a minimum of 6 months experience within a nursery setting
- Ability to adapt quickly to different routines and environments
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service
