Mobile Fabric Engineer

The Role

As a Mobile Fabric Engineer, you''ll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs across a variety of commercial sites. Working independently, you''ll ensure buildings are maintained to a high standard while providing excellent customer service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive building fabric maintenance across multiple commercial sites.
• Complete a range of carpentry, plumbing and general building maintenance tasks.
• Repair doors, locks, windows, ceilings, flooring and partition walls.
• Undertake painting, decorating, patch plastering and tiling repairs.
• Carry out basic plumbing works, including repairs to taps, toilets and associated pipework.
• Perform routine building inspections and identify maintenance issues.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures and health & safety legislation.
• Accurately complete job reports and update the CAFM system using a handheld device.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and site teams.

About You

• Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer, Building Maintenance Engineer, Handyperson or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative.
• Strong all-round knowledge of commercial building fabric maintenance.
• Experience within commercial Facilities Management is highly desirable.
• Competent in carpentry, decorating, basic plumbing and general building repairs.
• Good understanding of planned and reactive maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
