Mobile Fabric Engineer
DK Recruitment are recruiting for a Mobile Fabric Engineer on behalf of a leading commercial Facilities Management company. The Role
As a Mobile Fabric Engineer, you''ll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs across a variety of commercial sites. Working independently, you''ll ensure buildings are maintained to a high standard while providing excellent customer service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive building fabric maintenance across multiple commercial sites.
- Complete a range of carpentry, plumbing and general building maintenance tasks.
- Repair doors, locks, windows, ceilings, flooring and partition walls.
- Undertake painting, decorating, patch plastering and tiling repairs.
- Carry out basic plumbing works, including repairs to taps, toilets and associated pipework.
- Perform routine building inspections and identify maintenance issues.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures and health & safety legislation.
- Accurately complete job reports and update the CAFM system using a handheld device.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and site teams.
About You
- Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer, Building Maintenance Engineer, Handyperson or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative.
- Strong all-round knowledge of commercial building fabric maintenance.
- Experience within commercial Facilities Management is highly desirable.
- Competent in carpentry, decorating, basic plumbing and general building repairs.
- Good understanding of planned and reactive maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
