We are a London tech startup on the lookout for bright, motivated and self-driven individuals to join the team.Who you areYou are a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer with experience managing complex infrastructure and deploying scalable, reliable systems. You are passionate about automation, cloud technologies, and continuous improvement.Must have:Proven track record of managing cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.Strong CI/CD pipeline design experience using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or HashiCorp Nomad.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.Nice to have:Experience managing distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.Experience with security best practices, monitoring, and incident response.Familiarity with DevSecOps and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).Exposure to big data processing, ML pipelines, or simulation workflows.Bonus:Existing interest in data science and simulation workflows in the manufacturing, energy or chemical process industries;Experience with high-performance computing (HPC).What we doWe are building what will become a leading industrial platform that empowers engineers and research scientists to solve pressing problems in energy efficiency, product design and reliability. This position is available full time in the UK.When we workWe offer 25 days paid annual leave, in addition to UK bank holidays.What you will doPlatform Operations (40%): Support the lifecycle of platform deployment, including provisioning, updating, monitoring, and scaling cloud infrastructure.Automation and Tooling (40%): Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and system monitoring solutions.Technical Leadership and Documentation (20%): Create and maintain infrastructure documentation, contribute to technical blog posts, and mentor junior engineers.What we offerSalary range of £50,000 to £85,000 depending on experience.Development training and support to learn required technical skills.Employee stock options.New equipment: MacBook Pro, and work-from-home allowance.Opportunities to attend technical conferences.Flexible hybrid working environment, blending work from the office and home.Our hiring process(30 mins) Introductory call with Quaisr. We want to learn more about you, and a little regarding how you think!(45 mins) Online coding exercise (with a Quaisr team member on the call) working on a practical task related to cloud deployment or automation.(45 mins) Follow-up with additional Quaisr team.
