Prospero Teaching is seeking positive, understanding, and nurturing Mentors to support young people at risk of permanent exclusion (PEX) in Romsey and nearby areas. These learners need compassionate guidance to reengage with education, build trust with adults, and explore their interests through meaningful, personalised activities.As a Mentor, you will work 1:1 with young people to:Reignite their interest in learning through practical tasks and hands-on activitiesBuild positive adult relationships based on trust, consistency, and empathyTailor sessions around the hobbies and interests of each learner to foster engagement and personal growthAbout you:Experienced in youth work, mentoring, or educationPassionate about supporting vulnerable learnersCreative, patient, and able to build rapport through shared interestsCommitted to making a lasting impactPosition - MentorContract or position start date - ASAPContract or position end date (if applicable) - N/AFull time/part-time - Opportunities for bothHours - VariedEssential and Desirable Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young peopleTrauma-informed and skilled in de-escalation and emotional regulation strategies- DesirableTo be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:Hold right to work in the UKHold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new applicationProvide references upon requestPossess up to date ..... full job details .....
