Mechanical Support Engineer

Mechanical Support Engineer Our client, a leading independent Oil and Gas Operator, are currently seeking a Mechanical Support Engineer to join their team in Wytch Farm, Dorset. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day mechanical engineering support across the asset, including leading the Mechanical Technician Team to deliver a safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance service. The successful candidate will also contribute to the development and implementation of the long-term mechanical infrastructure strategy for the asset. This is a Mon-Friday, 7.5-hour role based in their offices. Key Requirements Include: Skills and Competencies: Broad experience with mechanical equipment in a hazardous process industry including - -Rotating Equipment (including pumps, compressors, engines, gearboxes) and their associated sealing and lube oil systems -Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems. -Piping systems, including PSVs, valves, filters and associated equipment -Pressure systems, including vessels, exchangers and associated equipment Proficient in the application of the principles of risk assessment and process safety management High standards of workmanship, attention to detail and concern for accuracy. Proven team-working and influencing skills. Able to take strategic leadership role for assigned responsibilities. Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
