Mechanical Project Engineer

Take ownership of HVAC projects from contract award to handover, with the scope to shape how the work is delivered. Apex MandE Solutions is recruiting for an established building services contractor seeking a mechanically strong Project Engineer or Project Manager. Based in West Yorkshire, you will combine technical judgement with responsibility for programme, procurement, site delivery and commercial performance. Why this opportunity You will join a business delivering mechanical, electrical and HVAC projects across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial and retail environments. This is an opportunity to stay close to the engineering, build direct client relationships and see projects through to a completed installation. What you will do Lead mechanical projects through design coordination, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover. Plan programmes, labour and plant procurement; manage subcontractors, engineers and specialist suppliers. Review drawings and selections, survey sites and resolve installation constraints with electrical, BMS and other trades. Manage client communication, technical submittals and RFIs while monitoring progress, quality and project risks. Track budgets, labour performance and forecast costs; identify scope changes and support agreement of variations.
