Mechanical Fit Out Operative

My client in the Morley area are looking for x 2 Mechanical Fitter / Operatives.Duties of the Role:Support mechanical assembly and installation activities in line with company standards.Work as part of a team to fit, assemble, and install mechanical components and systems.Follow engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures.Maintain quality and safety across all tasks and interactions.ResponsibilitiesKey DutiesAssemble and fit acoustic canopies for generators and related industrial equipmentInterpret and work from engineering drawings, layout diagrams, and technical specificationsInstall mechanical components including panels, brackets, doors, silencers, and ventilation systemsCarry out drilling, tapping, cutting, and general fabrication as required during the build processAlign and fit components to ensure structural integrity and acoustic performanceWork with insulation materials and acoustic treatments to meet performance standardsConduct basic quality checks throughout assembly and complete final inspections prior to dispatchCollaborate with welding, fabrication, and electrical teams to ensure smooth integration of componentsIdentify and resolve build issues or discrepancies in a timely mannerMaintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with health and safety requirementsRequirements:Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally within fabrication, enclosures, or industrial equipment manufacturingAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentationCompetence in using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machineryExperience working with sheet metal, structural frames, or mechanical assembliesStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality standardsGood problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to workAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAwareness of health and safety practices within a workshop or manufacturing settingWorking DaysIND123
