Mechanical Fitter

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting:

We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter for an ongoing contract based with our client in Sheffield.

Immediate start available (subject to interview process)

Rate of pay -20.00 per hour (All hours)

This will be working Monday to Thursday 7:00am till 5:00pm and Friday 7:00am till 12pm

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit recycling machinery from engineering drawings.
• Carry out mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs.
• Install and align mechanical components, including gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Work safely and efficiently to meet production deadlines.
• Maintain high standards of quality and housekeeping.
• Support machine testing and commissioning when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Fitter.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong mechanical assembly and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering
• Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
