Mechanical Fitter
Futures are working with a successful manufacturing business that is looking to strengthen its engineering team with the appointment of an experienced Mechanical Fitter.This position would suit someone who enjoys hands-on assembly work, has a keen eye for detail, and is comfortable working within a busy production environment where quality and efficiency are equally important.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssemble a range of mechanical equipment and components in line with engineering specifications.Interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation to ensure accurate assembly.Carry out drilling, tapping, and general preparation of parts prior to assembly.Utilise a variety of hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely and effectively.Verify dimensions and tolerances using appropriate measuring instruments.Complete mechanical builds and sub-assemblies to the required quality standards.Perform in-process inspections and final checks to ensure products meet customer and company expectations.Support production schedules by delivering work within agreed timescales.Highlight any design, material, or assembly issues that could impact quality or delivery.Adhere to all health, safety, and housekeeping standards within the workshop.Skills and Experience RequiredProven background within a mechanical assembly, fitting, or manufacturing environment.Ability to understand and work from engineering drawings and technical instructions.Practical experience of mechanical ..... full job details .....
