Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer Cramlington Salary Depending on Experience We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Cramlington.This is a hands-on, project-focused role where you will be responsible for developing mechanical solutions for retrofit and upgrade projects within the power generation and gas turbine industry. Mechanical Engineer Roles and Responsibilities: Develop mechanical designs and solutions for retrofit and upgrade projects Use customer requirements, site conditions and 3D scan data to develop layouts Develop dismantling and installation methodologies Plan site works, including lifting equipment, cranes and temporary works Support lifting studies and equipment condition assessments Coordinate mechanical interfaces between existing and new equipment Work closely with Project, Engineering, Operations and Site Teams Ensure designs are practical to manufacture, transport and install Support FEED studies, technical documentation and safety reviews Liaise with customers, fabricators and external stakeholders Ensure compliance with CDM, safety and quality standards Mechanical Engineer Ideal Candidate: HNC minimum in Mechanical Engineering; degree preferred 3+ years'' relevant mechanical engineering experience Experience within technical, project-driven environments Experience with retrofit, upgrade or turnkey engineering projects Strong knowledge of dismantling, installation and site planning Understanding of lifting ..... full job details .....
