Manufacturing EngineerReed has partnered with a manufacturing company near Cwmbran recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering process improvements across manufacturing operations and enhancing quality. As well as working on continuous improvement initiatives, and consistent application of best-practice processes.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, validate, and optimise CNC machining programs for precise component manufacture.Create manufacturing routings and design tooling/fixturing to improve capability and workflow.Lead continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and operational performance.Develop and maintain Standard Work, SOPs, and Work Instructions to ensure process control and compliance.Lead COPQ reduction initiatives and implement corrective actions.Provide customers with updates on implemented corrective actions.Perform process and quality audits.Drive productivity improvements, waste reduction, and scrap-reduction activities.Support TPM, 5S, and workplace organisation initiatives.Manage and coordinate new product introduction activities.Qualifications and ExperienceDegree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.Proven experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.Proficient in CNC programming using G-Code and SolidCAM.If you would like to find out more about this opportunity or proceed with this process, please apply ..... full job details .....
