Machine Operator Nights

My well-established Engineering client based in Reading is looking to recruit a Machine Operator on a temp-perm basis (typically over 3 months). Candidates will have previous engineering / manufacturing experience and be familiar with engineering practices, machine health and safety and equipment. The role is starting immediately after successful interview so please only apply if you are available to start immediately or within a week from an offer. Responsibilities: Operate engineering machinery to produce metal parts/products - CNC perforating presses Be responsible for the quality of parts produced and ensure they conform to company standards and product drawings. Run machines to achieve cycle times as recorded on the route cards. Assist Setter/Team Leader in improving changeover times, machine running efficiencies and tooling set ups. Transportation of goods within the factory, assisting with stock checks and general housekeeping within the manufacturing site. Ideal Candidate: Experience operating machines within an engineering or manufacturing environment (CNC or manual machinery). Have general engineering knowledge and experience of Machine operating and/or setting. Experience in quality checking of parts using micrometres / vernier calipers. Experience working a permanent nightshift. This role is offered on a permanent night shift working Sunday - Thursday nights 22.00 - 06.00.
