Interim Maintenance and Repairs Surveyor

Interim Repairs and Maintenance Surveyor Duration: 6-Month Contract Start: Immediate Working Pattern: 3-4 days per week on-site, with the remainder of the day spent remotely completing inspection reports and administrative duties. The Role: An experienced Repairs and Maintenance Surveyor is required to help deliver an effective and customer-focused repairs service across the council''s residential property portfolio. The successful candidate will undertake property inspections, identify maintenance issues, manage repair programmes, and monitor contractor performance to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. Main Duties: Carry out inspections before, during, and after works, as well as assessments of vacant properties. Identify building defects and specify appropriate repair solutions. Raise repair requests and oversee them through to completion. Monitor contractors, ensuring quality, value for money, and performance expectations are achieved. Produce work specifications, schedules, and cost estimates where necessary. Ensure all activities comply with current health and safety regulations. Undertake asbestos-related and general property safety inspections. Work closely with residents, contractors, and colleagues to resolve maintenance concerns.
