Housing Officer
About the Role Are you an experienced Housing Officer ready to make a visible difference across a busy general needs patch? This is a rewarding interim opportunity to take ownership of approximately 800 properties, build trusted relationships with residents and use your housing management expertise to resolve issues, strengthen communities and improve neighbourhood services. What You''ll Be Doing • Build trusted resident relationships: Visit new tenants in their homes, explain tenancy conditions clearly, identify vulnerabilities or additional needs and create positive early engagement. • Be visible in the community: Maintain a strong presence through estate inspections, customer surgeries, home visits and proactive follow-up, helping residents feel listened to and supported. • Resolve complex tenancy issues: Manage a varied caseload including succession, assignment, discretionary rehousing, management transfers, tenancy breaches, illegal occupation and anti-social behaviour. • Drive service improvements: Carry out tenancy audits, PCFRAs/PEEPs and regular estate inspections, identifying opportunities to improve housing standards and working collaboratively with internal teams. • Support residents who need it most: Work closely with vulnerable tenants, make appropriate referrals and help ensure residents receive the right support at the right time. • Use your legal and enforcement expertise: Prepare and serve notices, including Notices Seeking Possession and Notices to Quit; ..... full job details .....
