Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust .An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Neurophysiology department for a highly motivated, confident individual to work in a first-of-its-kind role that combines the responsibilities of a Healthcare Support Worker (HCA) with Administration, known as a Healthcare Administrative Support Worker (HCASW).As an HCASW, you will support the Clinical Neurophysiology Department in both patient assistance and administrative tasks. Under the guidance and supervision of both a registered nurse (RN), a Departmental Lead Clinical Scientist and a Service Manager, you will undertake a range of core clinical and administrative tasks.Responsibilities

Clinical: manual handling of patients before and after the diagnostic tests, acting as a chaperone, topping up consumables and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in clinical rooms and waiting areas.Administrative: reception duties with checking in and checking out of patients on Cerner, making any pertinent notes on the system and conveying relevant messages promptly to administrative and clinical staff.As the first point of contact for our patients, uphold the highest standards of customer and patient care in adherence to the Trust values.Maintain a professional appearance in line with the Trust professional appearance policy and infection control policy.Maintain professional and courteous working relationships with staff, patients and families, and respect equality and diversity.Exchange factual information with patients using a variety of methods to help patients understand, supporting clinicians and administrators in providing health promotion/education.Develop own skills and knowledge and contribute to the development of others.Undertake training relevant to the post.Maintain patient confidentiality at all times and follow information governance policies and procedures.Contribute to the development of a positive and collaborative team environment within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.Qualifications and Requirements

Experience in healthcare or administrative support roles is desirable but not required.Ability to work under supervision within a clinical setting and follow infection control and professional appearance guidelines.Commitment to equality, diversity and patient-centered care.Willingness to undertake training relevant to the post and maintain patient confidentiality.Benefits
