Year ManagerSecondary School37 hours per week, Monday to FridayTerm Time Plus 1 Week (39 weeks per year)Permanent PositionSalary: £31,022 - £32,597 pro rata About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Year Manager to join a secondary school''s pastoral team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality pastoral support to an allocated year group, helping to promote positive behaviour, attendance, wellbeing, safeguarding, and academic engagement. Working closely with students, parents/carers, teaching staff, and external agencies, you will play a key role in supporting students to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day pastoral care and support for students within the assigned year group. Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and staff. Support students experiencing social, emotional, behavioural, or personal challenges. Monitor and manage attendance, punctuality, behaviour, and welfare concerns. Investigate behavioural incidents and implement appropriate interventions in line with school policies. Liaise with parents/carers regarding attendance, behaviour, wellbeing, and student progress. Work collaboratively with safeguarding and attendance teams to support vulnerable students. Promote positive mental health and wellbeing across the year group.
