Head of Preconstruction

Our client, a highly successful and growing construction business, is seeking an experienced Head of Preconstruction to lead and develop its preconstruction function.This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for driving the company''s work-winning strategy, overseeing all preconstruction activities, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, commercially robust tender submissions across a varied project portfolio.Working closely with senior leadership, you will manage the entire preconstruction process from initial enquiry through to contract award, leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the preconstruction and bid teams across multiple opportunitiesDevelop and implement work-winning strategies to secure new businessOversee tender planning, programming, methodology development, logistics planning, and risk managementReview buildability and provide technical input during the bid processBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partnersDrive continuous improvement within preconstruction processes and proceduresSupport business development activities and identify opportunities for growthProvide leadership, mentoring, and development to the wider preconstruction teamCandidate Requirements:Proven leadership experience within a senior preconstruction roleStrong main contractor background with experience of delivering successful bidsExcellent ..... full job details .....
