Group Financial Accountant- Hybrid/ Remote

Sheridan Maine are proud to be partnering with our established Hampshire based client to recruit a Group Financial Accountant.
 
This 12-month contract will be supporting the finance team during a busy period of growth and will be responsible for a range of activities including consolidations and international reporting.
 
Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant role will include:
 

• Assist with the month end close process; eg reconciliations, journals, review schedules.
• Review balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Support year end activities - providing information for audits and assisting with queries.
• Contribute to the preparation and distribution of group management reporting.
• Preparation of financial statements and audit schedules.
• Undertake detailed reconciliations.
• Help improve financial processes and controls.
• Interpret financial data and explain variances.

 
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
 

• Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA).
• Working knowledge of IFRS.
• Experienced in group accounting, consolidations and reconciliations.
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel.
• Confident working with large volumes of data.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
