Group Financial Controller

The Group Financial Controller will have a strong technical accounting background and excellent leadership and is part of a service business operating internationally.The role suits a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or Finance Director with the specified experience and leadership capabilities.Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation and timely production of accurate monthly management accounts, ensuring all balance sheet reconciliations and divisional central cost allocations are reviewed for accuracy.Provide insightful analysis, including monthly variance reporting against budget, prior periods and years, and engage divisional management through regular review meetings.Prepare and review corporation tax packs for external advisors, responding to queries and ensuring all tax returns are submitted within statutory deadlines.Ensure compliance with all other tax obligations including adherence to international transfer pricing regulations.Oversee production and review statutory accounts for UK entities and consolidated group accounts, including PandL, balance sheet, cash flow statements and all relevant notes, ensuring completeness and compliance.Manage internal and external audit processes across the group and subsidiaries, providing auditors with comprehensive information and ensuring delivery of audited accounts within deadlines.Ensure monthly credit line reconciliations and covenant compliance is completed accurately, as well as weekly cash flow forecasting to optimize intercompany cash movements.Support the CFO in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment across multiple divisions and profit centers.Maintain awareness of foreign exchange impacts and ensure accurate accounting for international subsidiaries.Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to the Board and senior stakeholders as required.Qualifications and Skills
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) with a strong technical foundation.Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.Minimum of 5 years experience in a finance function, with at least 3 years managing a team of multi-disciplinary staff.Proven experience preparing statutory accounts and group consolidations.Strong experience liaising with professional advisors.Exposure to international business, multi-currency accounting, and foreign exchange management.Experience working in a group with turnover of £100m–£300m.Experience in MandA transactions is highly desirable.Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.The salary advertised for this role is a guideline; the salary offered will be commensurate with ..... full job details .....
