As a Graduate Energy Modeller, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of energy-efficient and sustainable building projects. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will gain hands-on experience in energy modelling, building performance analysis, and compliance testing. Day-to-Day
- Work on energy modelling tasks to assess building performance and energy efficiency.
- Visit project sites to support air tightness testing and gather data.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with building regulations.
- Develop 3D models and technical reports to support project delivery.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance your technical knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Conduct energy modelling and building performance analysis using industry-standard tools.
- Assist with air tightness testing on-site to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Support Part L compliance and other building regulations.
- Produce detailed reports and 3D models using software such as IES and SketchUp.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers on live projects to deliver sustainable design solutions.
Qualifications
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Architecture, or a related field.
- Some exposure to IES software, either through university coursework or a placement.
- A strong interest in sustainability, energy modelling, and building performance.
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
