We are currently recruiting for PIP Functional Assessors in Aylesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced healthcare professionals to move into a rewarding assessment-based role, with structured training, excellent benefits and genuine career progression.
The Role As a PIP Functional Assessor, you will assess how an individual''s physical and/or mental health conditions affect their ability to carry out everyday activities and mobility.
You will:
- Conduct telephone and face-to-face assessments.
- Take detailed clinical histories and ask structured questions.
- Assess the impact of physical, mental and cognitive conditions on daily living and mobility.
- Review medical evidence and health questionnaires.
- Use your clinical reasoning and professional judgement to reach evidence-based conclusions.
- Produce accurate, objective and detailed reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Salary & Benefits
- £40,000–£42,000 starting salary
- 5% approval bonus following successful completion of training
- Up to 10% annual performance and quality bonus
- Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
- No nights, weekends or bank holidays

Successful candidates will complete a comprehensive fully paid training programme, covering:
- PIP assessment methodology
- DWP guidelines and legislation
- Clinical assessment techniques
- Report writing
- Evidence evaluation
- Applying clinical reasoning to functional assessments
- Registered Adult Nurses
- Occupational Therapists
- Physiotherapists
- Paramedics
- Pharmacists
- A minimum of 1 year’s post-registration clinical experience
- Active professional registration
- Relevant adult clinical experience
- Strong communication and assessment skills
- Good IT and typing skills
- Confidence producing detailed written reports
