Freight OperatorLocation: OldhamSalary: £30,000 - £37,000 DOE + BenefitsAbout the RoleDue to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Freight Operator to join a busy operations team in Oldham.This is an excellent opportunity for a logistics professional with experience across road, sea and air freight who enjoys managing shipments from booking through to final delivery while delivering exceptional customer service.Working within a fast-paced environment, you will liaise with customers, carriers, overseas agents and suppliers to ensure shipments are moved efficiently, compliantly and cost-effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage UK and international freight movements via road, sea and air.Arrange bookings with hauliers, shipping lines, airlines and courier partners.Monitor shipments from collection through to final delivery.Prepare and process import and export documentation.Liaise with customers regarding shipment updates, delays and queries.Obtain and negotiate freight rates with carriers and suppliers.Work closely with overseas agents and customs partners.Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international shipping requirements.Handle shipment tracking, problem-solving and issue resolution.Maintain accurate records within freight management systems.Support customers with freight quotations and transport solutions.Deliver a high level of customer service and account management.Skills and Experience RequiredPrevious experience within ..... full job details .....
