Fire Alarm Engineer

Location: North EastPosted todayThe RoleThe role of a Fire Alarm Engineer is to respond and repair all fire safety equipment to Care homes, NHS buildings, universities, local councils and authorities, sheltered housing, commercial shops, and many other properties throughout the North East.The ResponsibilitiesAs our Fire Alarm Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:A range of servicing, minor works, and attending reactive calls on fire alarm, nurse call, and door access systems.Working on both conventional and addressable systems such as Advanced, Morley, Menvier, C-Tec, Ziton and Kentec.Completing maintenance and PPM certification paperwork on a PDA.Working alongside the current team of Engineers.Identifying areas for additional works in and out of the specified contractual requirements, supplying accurate quotations where required for any additional works.Understanding and completing all work-related documentation accurately, on time, and exceeding the customer’s expectations.Complying with company policies and procedures.Carrying out work in a safe and diligent manner.Complying with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.Attending and fully participating in training and appraisal activities, as required.Liaising with office staff via phone calls, emails, and use of the PDA system.Reporting to the Regional Manager.The PersonThis ideal person who’ll thrive in this role:Good general experience working in care homes or public sector environments is preferable.Ability to communicate at all levels.Generally, IT literate.Clear oral and written communication.Have a customer focused approach.Have ambition, drive and enthusiasm.A good understanding of Health and Safety procedures.The TrainingFull training will be provided.The Essential CriteriaExperience working in the industryFull UK driving licenceEnhanced DBS clearanceThe Hours08:00am - 16:30pm 5 days per week 40 hours.1.5 rate door to door (minus the first 15 minutes of travel).Overtime rate paid after 40 hours.Double time paid for call outs between 12am and 5am, and Sundays.Call out rota, 1 day in every 6.The BenefitsCompany vehicle provided.Company phone provided.Monthly incentives.Long service incentives.Training opportunities.Competitive overtime rates.Weekly pay.Apply Now
