We’re Suits Me - a fast-growing FinTech business providing innovative financial solutions to our customers. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a commercially minded Finance Director to join our senior leadership team.This is a pivotal role, responsible for shaping the financial strategy of the business, driving performance, and ensuring regulatory and compliance requirements are met. You will also play a central part in our Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licence application with the FCA, ensuring our finance function meets the highest standards of governance, oversight and control.Key responsibilities

Lead the finance function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, statutory accounts, and financial reportingPrepare and deliver statutory year-end accounts in line with UK accounting standards, acting as the main contact for external auditorsPartner with senior leadership, holding senior team members accountable against their budgets and financial responsibilitiesEnsure compliance with FCA, HMRC and other regulatory obligationsSupport our ongoing EMI application and oversee financial governance once authorised including treasury responsibilitiesManage cashflow, risk and financial controlsCollaborate with commercial teams to create data-driven insights and reporting (ideally in Power BI)About you

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Significant senior-level finance experience, ideally in financial services, FinTech, or a regulated environmentStrong understanding of financial governance, statutory reporting, capital adequacy and risk managementProven ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on managementAdvanced Excel (including Power Query) - expected to be an expert userExperience using Xero to manage financial operationsPower BI experience preferred, with the ability to work alongside commercial teams to build insightful dashboards and reportsExperience of working with Private Equity or Venture Capital funding is an advantage (but not essential)Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsCommercially astute with the ability to drive performance and efficiencyAmbitious and motivated - this role could be the next step up for the right candidateYou’ll be working in a fast-paced, fun environment where finance has a direct impact on shaping the future of the business.
