OverviewNorman Broadbent PLC, a leader in executive search, is partnering with Sneak, a fast-growing FMCG brand, to recruit a Finance Director with a broad remit across Finance, Operations and Supply Chain. The role reports to the CEO and Private Equity owner, delivering value creation and strategic financial leadership while building on established operational foundations. The role is four days a week at the head office in Manchester.
Role OverviewThe CFO / Finance Director will operate as the CEO’s right-hand person, responsible for Finance, Operations and Supply Chain. The role requires a commercial and operational mindset to deliver the value creation plan, provide robust financial advice, and establish themselves as an integral part of decision-making to optimise growth over a three-year strategic plan.
Support the CEO as his right-hand person in strategic design and delivery, offering sound commercially and operationally focused financial support to create and deliver the structured growth plan appropriate to the competitive nature of the business. Be comfortable working with detail and the wider strategy; adaptability is key.
Build a trusted relationship with the Private Equity investor to support driving financial performance and strategic direction. Manage external financial relationships including corporate financiers, banks, auditors, tax advisors and other professional services.
Lead Supply Chain and Operations; ensure cost management and working capital management, develop risk management initiatives, and support key supplier relationships.
Build and implement high-quality reporting, board packs and dynamic, accessible management information. These must be supported by clear and effective KPIs across all departments, providing insightful information at a granular level to enhance decision-making and increase profit.
Establish cash management, credible finance processes and reporting to optimise working capital and proactively influence across the business; work closely with commercial and operational teams to improve productivity.
Support with insightful management information, including integrated stock and sales volumes to add value to purchasing decisions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with the Sales Director, Brand Director and Creative Director and teams to spearhead commercial initiatives associated with expanding within the retail sector, fostering growth and enabling informed decision-making.
Manage a small finance team, providing mentoring and development opportunities.

An extensive and successful track record as a senior finance professional within a growth-oriented business, with strong, commercially oriented finance experience.
Experience operating in a business whose sector is aligned to Sneak.
An understanding of Private Equity reporting and PE relationships.
A proactive and innovative approach to problem solving, with experience generating ideas and determining the correct course of action.
A results-driven, hands-on yet strategic approach suited to a growing entrepreneurial SME.
Ability to handle change and excel within an ever-evolving landscape.
First-class communication skills, especially in presenting financial information to various internal and external stakeholders with varying knowledge levels, while being proactive and responsive.
