Job Title: L2 Teaching Assistant - SEN / SEMHLocation: St Helen''sStart Date: 2nd November 2026Contract: Full-TimeDuration: Initially until Christmas, with the potential for extension for the right candidateTradewind Recruitment are seeking a resilient, patient and dedicated Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist SEN provision in St Helen''s, starting on 2nd November 2026.This is a full-time opportunity supporting a small group of approximately seven pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The provision supports children who may display challenging behaviour and require consistent boundaries, structured routines and tailored support to help them engage with learning and develop positive relationships.The successful candidate will be confident working in a demanding educational environment, supporting pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation, engagement and behaviour. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider support team to create a safe, structured and nurturing environment where pupils feel supported and are encouraged to make progress both academically and emotionally.This role would suit someone who is calm under pressure, emotionally resilient and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
