Job Title: EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant (L2/L3)Location: SouthportStart Date: 2nd November 2026Contract: Full-TimeDuration: Initially until Christmas, with the potential for extension for the right candidateTradewind Recruitment are seeking a patient, resilient and dedicated Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a challenging Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) SEN role at a welcoming primary school in Southport, starting on 2nd November 2026.This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young children with additional needs and can provide consistent, nurturing and structured support in a busy early years environment.The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to support children with a range of complex learning and developmental needs. The role may involve supporting pupils with communication difficulties, emotional and behavioural needs, sensory sensitivities and difficulties with social interaction, helping them to access learning, develop independence and engage positively with their surroundings.This role will suit someone who is confident managing challenging situations, remaining calm under pressure and adapting their approach to meet the individual needs of each child.
