Experienced Paediatrics Staff Nurse High Dependency Unit

Overview

Paediatric services are growing rapidly. We are looking for experienced Staff Nurses to join our dynamic, forward-thinking team in an environment with a Level 2 HDU up and running, offering learning opportunities and robust induction to ease the transition into a new working environment.We provide a holistic suite of services for babies, children and young people to enable the highest quality of care at the right time, delivered by the right staff and in the location that best suits their needs, in partnership with parents, carers and other multidisciplinary team members.Responsibilities

Provide relevant forms of care without direct supervision where appropriate.Participate in the supervision and teaching of untrained staff.Play an active part in the continuing development of the ward or department and contribute to maintaining an environment conducive to high standards of patient care by promoting good communication and relationships between staff, patients, relatives and visitors.Work within a multidisciplinary team led by Supervisory Senior Sisters / Service Managers / Team Leaders and be part of a nursing skill mix reflective of the acuity of the patient group.Qualifications and Experience

Post-registration nursing experience.Experience in acute medical or paediatric high dependency unit settings.Experience caring for patients with tracheostomies, BiPAP, LTV or other complex medical conditions.Induction and Support
