About the role

RSM Corporate Finance is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Executive to work across our Special Situations team (MandA, Debt Advisory and Turnaround teams).

The secondment would predominantly be focused on Special Situations MandA and suit candidates within Corporate Finance who are seeking a fresh challenge and an opportunity to broaden their expertise within consulting. Candidates with strong, relevant skill sets will also be considered.

Supporting both sell-side and buy-side stakeholders, the team works with corporates, lenders, and other financial stakeholders across the UK and globally, providing dynamic transaction support to achieve optimal outcomes.Our Debt Advisory team leverages relationships with over 150 lenders, from high-street banks to private debt funds, to secure the most suitable funding solutions for businesses. With a focus on structuring appropriate terms, covenants, and packages, we ensure financing supports growth without placing undue strain on operations.Additionally, RSM’s Turnaround team specialises in driving performance improvement by enhancing profitability, working capital, and cash flow. About the jobThe role includes:Assist in preparing high-quality marketing materials, including IMs and teasers, to support Special Situation transactionsAnalyse operational performance and profitability to develop actionable reports and recommendations for underperforming businessesWork closely with senior personnel and other stakeholders, ensure effective communication throughout engagementsProject managing the delivery of engagements and reports to a high standardAssisting in the preparation of pitch documents and materialsReview of client take on and acceptance materialsAlthough cases are led by the partners in the team, the role will involve direct interaction with client personnel, including at a senior level, and their advisors.

About the ideal candidate

The role well-suited for candidates with experience in Corporate Finance, MandA advisory, Due Diligence, or Restructuring. It may also appeal to professionals with consulting experience looking to develop expertise across special situations, debt financing, and turnaround projects.
