Environmental Health Officer / Enforcement OfficerBrent CouncilLocation: HA9 0FJ Pay Rate: Up to £50 per hour Umbrella Contract: Ongoing Hours: 36 hours per week Working Pattern: Flexible and remote working availableRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer / Enforcement Officer, registered with CIEH, to join the Food and Health and Safety Team. The role covers Food Safety, Health and Safety and Infectious Disease Control, requiring current experience in food safety and health and safety enforcement.Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of proactive and reactive enforcement work.Investigate food hygiene complaints and RIDDOR notifications.Carry out food safety and health and safety interventions.Take appropriate enforcement action and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.Maintain accurate case records and provide advice on regulatory requirements. Essential Requirements Relevant professional qualification, such as a Diploma/BSc/MSc in Environmental Health or NEBOSH.Registration with the CIEH.Current experience in food safety and health and safety enforcement.Good knowledge of food safety and health and safety legislation.Experience investigating complaints, RIDDOR notifications and taking enforcement action.
