Employee Relations Manager, EU EXR Risk, Project and Compliance
The EU Employee Relations Manager oversees the European Work Council, ER projects, policies control system, and our total reward strategy across Operations EU. This role is part of the Employee Experience and Relations (EXR) team, reporting directly to the EU EXR Risk, Project and Compliance leader. It requires close collaboration with stakeholders across functions, business lines, and countries to ensure effective ER strategies, enhance EXR effectiveness, contribute to business agility, and improve the associate experience.This position can be based in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Luxembourg, or the UK, with travel up to 30% within the EU.Key Responsibilities
European Works Council (EWC) Management
Lead preparation for EWC meetings across all functions, business lines, and countries.Coordinate the 2026 EWC election process as the pan-EU Single Threaded Leader.Participate in EWC and Select Committee meetings, managing vendor relationships for logistics.Ensure Amazon''s compliance with EWC directives, including gap analysis, strategy development, and amendments following legal collaboration.Projects and Policies Coordination
Manage the EXR change management for projects and initiatives, ensuring comprehensive intake, process improvement, escalation, and continuous updates.Coordinate the HR policy journey across the EU as the primary EXR SME.Compensation and Benefits Liaison
Serve as the EU-wide contact for CandB challenges and opportunities to promote total reward offerings.Basic Qualifications
University degree with experience in employee or labor relations, or employment law focusing on labor laws.Knowledge of EU labor laws, especially regarding European Works Councils.Experience managing complex projects in a matrix environment.Fluency in English (C2 level) and at least one other European language such as French, Spanish, Italian, or German.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with EU or pan-EU labor challenges.Background in change management and project coordination in multinational settings.Familiarity with EU compensation and benefits practices.Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing senior leadership.Ability to work independently in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer committed to diversity.
