Electrical Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join a growing project team delivering major High Voltage (HV), substation and electrical infrastructure projects across the power and utilities sector.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor who understands the delivery of electrical projects and is looking to take ownership of the commercial and contractual performance of major project packages.Based in Glasgow, you will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Planners, clients and subcontractors, managing projects from initial mobilisation through to completion and final account.Candidates with a combination of Quantity Surveying experience and an electrical or engineering background will be particularly well suited.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the commercial delivery of assigned HV electrical and substation projects.Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, BOQs and profit plans.Monitor project expenditure, commitments, costs and overall financial performance.Prepare and submit interim valuations, progress applications and final accounts.Manage subcontractor accounts, including valuations, remeasurement, payment certificates and final accounts.Identify, value and manage variations, change orders, dayworks and additional works.Capture and accurately cost site changes, including labour and material costs.Work closely with Planning Engineers to ensure project progress is accurately reflected ..... full job details .....
