E xcellence.As an ECC Project Manager you will be responsible for the entire scope required for successful delivery of projects including: appraisal, planning, detailed design, construction and delivery phases. This role requires compliance with HM Treasury Governance and processes specifically in Project Management, Health and Safety, Commercial, Risk and Value, Budget. You will manage a delivery team and all key stakeholders.Position Location: Liverpool, UK / Manchester, UK / Leeds, UK / Altrincham, UKResponsibilities

Active stakeholder management to clarify requirements and agree project objectives and priorities. Maintain stakeholder involvement in key decisions.Manage project risk and opportunities effectively – identify, allocate and manage project risk and opportunities, and implement mitigation measures to reduce risk.Be accountable for the commercial objectives specific to the project – ensure necessary reporting and information is delivered on time and to the required standard.Maintain excellent communications with the client and the wider programme team.Be responsible for the project programme. Work with multidisciplinary delivery teams to update the programme as required.Required for the position

A degree in engineering or project management subjectA relevant professional qualification with the APM or Prince 2Full Membership, or working towards full membership of a relevant chartered body; MAPM, MCIWEM, MICE, MCIOB, MRICS etcProject management experience across a range of disciplines, contract/procurementExperience of managing projects within the Water and Environment SectorExperience of NEC contracts and their practical applicationPreferred, but not required

Excellent written and oral communicationAble to foster and promote collaborative working relationshipsExperience of working "client side" for the Environment Agency, DEFRA or other RMAs would be an advantageAbout the business unit

The Advisory and Programme Delivery (APD) unit delivers management services in all the sectors that Mott MacDonald operates in, including Built Environment, Defence, Energy, Water, Transportation and Education, Health and Care.The Unit delivers services to projects ranging in scale and complexity up to £20bn, through Programme Management, Project Management, Project Controls, Scheduling, Cost Management, Estimating, Infrastructure Finance, Management Consulting, Digital Consulting and Education, Health and Care Management.Our environment and water portfolio is primarily UK-based, delivering project, programme and commercial management services to regulated water/wastewater clients and the Environment Agency. We work across the project lifecycle, from pre-contract cost estimating and benchmarking to post-contract QS services and commercial assurance, including capital projects from several hundred thousand pounds to major programmes worth over £0.5 billion. We are also home to the cost intelligence service, providing inflation and indexation advice.
