A welcoming primary school in Oldham is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. The role will involve a balance of general classroom support alongside providing extra help to pupils who may require additional guidance with their learning and development.
Responsibilities
Assisting the class teacher in the delivery of daily activities across the EYFS setting
Preparing engaging play-based opportunities that promote curiosity and early learning
Supporting individuals and small groups to develop literacy, numeracy and communication skills
Providing additional guidance to children who may need extra encouragement with routines and tasks
Promoting independence, social interaction and positive behaviour
Ideal Candidate
Previous experience within an Early Years setting (school or nursery)
A caring, patient and flexible approach to working with young children
Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and learning through play methods
Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and families
A positive, proactive attitude with a genuine passion for Early Years
