Document Controller
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Document Controller to join a leading contractor working across their Prime sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong M&E, MEP or Building Services background who is comfortable managing documentation across multiple live projects at the same time.
The Role
The successful Document Controller will be responsible for supporting several smaller projects concurrently, typically managing 3-4 projects at any one time.
You will be primarily based from the company''s London office, with occasional travel to project sites as required.
You''ll work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and wider project teams to ensure all project documentation is accurately controlled, distributed and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage document control across multiple live M&E / Building Services projects.
- Maintain accurate document registers and ensure document revisions are properly controlled.
- Manage the upload, distribution and tracking of project documentation.
- Coordinate drawings, technical documentation, RFIs, submittals and other project information.
- Ensure documentation is issued to the correct project teams and stakeholders.
- Monitor document status, revisions and approvals.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and clients.
- Ensure project information is maintained in accordance with company procedures.
- Support the close-out of projects, including O&M and as-built documentation.
- Travel to project sites when required.
About You
We''re looking for a Document Controller who has:
- Previous experience working as a Document Controller within M&E, MEP or Building Services.
- Experience managing documentation across multiple projects simultaneously.
- The ability to manage approximately 3-4 live projects at once.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to liaise with multiple project stakeholders.
- Experience working within a construction, engineering or contracting environment.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Systems Experience
Experience with Procore, Fusion or Aconex would be advantageous, but you do not need experience with all three.
We''re particularly interested in candidates who have strong document control experience and have worked with similar CDE/document management systems.
Why Apply?
This is a great opportunity to join an established contractor and take responsibility for document control across multiple M&E projects, giving you exposure to a varied project portfolio rather than being tied to a single scheme.
If you''re an experienced M&E / Building Services Document Controller who enjoys working across multiple projects and is looking for your next opportunity in London, we''d like to hear from you.
