We are currently recruiting for an experienced Document Controller to join a leading main contractor on a construction project based in Watford.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of projects across the UK.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working on-site within the construction industry, ideally for a main contractor, and will be confident managing project documentation while supporting the wider site team.

• Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring accurate filing, tracking and distribution.

• Control drawings, technical submissions, RFIs and other construction documentation.

• Ensure all project information is kept up to date and compliant with company procedures.

• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, consultants and project management.

• Manage document revisions and ensure the latest information is available to relevant stakeholders.

• Support the site team with general administration and reporting.

• Maintain document registers and assist with project handover documentation.

• Previous experience as a Document Controller within the construction industry.

• Essential: Experience working on a live construction site.

• Ideally previous experience working for a main contractor.

• Good knowledge of document management systems such as Aconex, Viewpoint, Asite or similar.

• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

• Confident communicating with site teams, subcontractors and senior management.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
