Our client is looking for a keen and enthusiastic Design Manger to lead an experienced Design Team, ensuring delivery of innovative and high-quality automation solutions. The role requires the ability to realise complex bespoke automation solutions from high-level concepts, overseeing the design process including cross-functional management of both mechanical and electrical design engineers. The Design Manager will support the execution of the design strategy. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership and Management Lead, mentor and manage a team of mechanical and electrical design engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and excellence. Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback. Design Process Management Oversee the entire design process, developing sales concepts into detailed solutions. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Develop and implement processes and best practices to improve efficiency. Control electrical, mechanical, automation and pneumatic projects budgets. Plan, priorities and manage multiple design projects simultaneously. Monitor project design progress and provide regular updates to the Project Managers.
