Design Engineer

Inspire Resourcing Ltd are recruiting a Design Engineer for a client in South Yorkshire.

This role is based largely in their South Yorkshire office, with occasional UK site visits.

Key responsibilities:

• Produce conceptual designs, supported by relevant calculations and analysis.
• Manage individual design and mechanical engineering projects from initial design to final commissioning.
• Create detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Liaise with other engineers and the wider team, workshop colleagues and client representatives throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential qualifications / experience / capabilities

• Degree level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, or a minimum of HNC level.
• Demonstrable experience in a mechanical and manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of design experience in a diverse client/sector base.
• Ability to work on individual projects from initial design to final commissioning.
• Experience with 3D CAD packages
• Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
