This is a senior-level position that will involve leading design activities, mentoring junior engineers, and taking ownership of complex design challenges. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise in mechanical and structural design, particularly in hand calculations, alongside a deep understanding of welding, fabrication, and engineering principles.You will play a pivotal role in ensuring practical, efficient, and robust designs are delivered on time and to the highest standards, supporting both UK and international projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of bespoke mechanical components and assemblies, from concept through to manufacture and installation.Take ownership of detailed hand calculations (stress analysis, joint strength, load assessments, etc.) to validate and optimise designs.Review and approve technical drawings, models, and documentation ..... full job details .....
