Design Director – Architecture and Store Design UK/Europe

Overview
As the first Store Design employee in Europe, this role requires a strong self-starter with a growth mindset. The position partners with cross-functional teams to support store design across the UK and will lead the architectural design process for ALO’s company-owned UK and European projects.Responsibilities
Lead the development and management of 10-15 projects per year in the UK and EuropeProvide resources and develop partnerships in both new and existing marketsCoordinate and manage between internal departments for all UK/European projectsManage internal and external teams to ensure timely execution of all projectsDevelop project-specific details and specifications as requiredManage consultants on design development, construction documents, construction administration, ensuring documents meet Alo brand standards, architectural quality standards, landlord and project-specific requirementsEnsure designs meet Alo Brand Standards, established project timelines and project budgetsLead landlord communications related to design guidelines, approvals and project start-upAssist with real estate queries, reviews and pre-lease/lease negotiations related to design and constructionProvide site analyses and test fits for potential store locationsAssist the construction team on project bidding and selectionAssist the construction team with requests for information or issues during constructionReview submittals and shop drawings for design conformanceProvide on-site observations as required throughout the course of a projectPartner with Construction on project closeout and punchlistQualifications and Requirements
Extensive architectural design experience in the UK and EuropeProven leadership and team management skillsStrategic thinking and the ability to align designs with company goalsExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong technical knowledge and understanding of real estate and constructionPassion for design and a commitment to design excellenceExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsPassionate, self-starting, intelligent, dedicated, efficientBachelor and/or Master''s Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or equivalent15-20 years of design/project management experienceProficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp/3D modeling software, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Excel and ProjectFor CA residents, Job Applicant Privacy Policy HERE.Seniority level
