Field Service Engineer

We are supporting leading service provider to the UK & Ireland fuel retailing industry in hiring two permanent Field Service Engineers, one based around Dartford/South East London and one around Crawley.
 
The role involves fault diagnosis, repair and preventative maintenance of mechanical and electronic forecourt equipment such as fuel dispensers, tank gauges, pump controllers and POS systems. You will also manage van stock, complete site surveys, and carry out commissioning and calibration work.
 
Candidates must have mechanical maintenance/repair experience and a valid driving licence. Previous forecourt experience is not essential, but the ability to plan and manage your own daily workload across different customer sites is important. Strong customer service skills and comfort working independently are also required.
 
This is a permanent position with a base salary of c.£27,200 plus overtime, allowances and standby, giving typical OTE of £32,000-£34,000. 
 
The package includes a van (personal use permitted), daily lunch allowance (£4.50), standby allowance (£2,000), weekend allowance (1 in 5, c.£2,000 p.a.), overtime and call-out pay. Standard hours are 8 per day, with occasional weekend working.
