Deputy Manager (DM)

Staff Match are recruiting for a experienced Deputy Manager to join an established nursery group in Tooting, Greater London. The role will be office based and the ideal candidate must have excellent team building skills as well as good working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum planning.Person Specification:NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or BA Hons Early Childhood DegreeExperience of leading and motivating teamsKnowledge of EYFS CurriculumBasic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)Minimum 1 years experience in a similar roleSome of the Deputy Manager responsibilities will include: Work closely with Nursery Manger and provide cover in times of absenceTo ensure all staff understand and comply with all nursery policy and proceduresSupport and mentor members of staff in the EYFS curriculum and ensure children s learning and development is accurately recordedReviewing and monitoring planning within rooms and across the nurseryTo carry our regular staff supervisions and identify training needsTo build positive relationships with parents, careers, and other childcare professionalsTo attend staff meetings, open days and nursery eventsTo ensure correct staff ratios are maintainedTo co-ordinate staff meetings and training Benefits:Training ongoing support and career developmentDue to the nature of this job, candidates will be subject to UK eligibility checks together with Enhance Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checksFor immediate interview ..... full job details .....
