Customer Service Representative

Red Recruitment is recruiting a Temporary Customer Service Representative to support our client''s customer operations team in Brighton during a proposed merger.

Customers will be contacted about the proposal and invited to vote. You''ll handle their inbound calls, listen carefully to their questions and provide clear, balanced information to help them make an informed decision.

Benefits and Package for a Customer Service Representative:

• Pay: -13.45 per hour
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm
• Location: Brighton, office-based
• Contract: Four-week temporary contract
• Potential for a permanent opportunity based on performance, although this is not guaranteed

Key Responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative:

• Answering a high volume of inbound calls about the proposed merger
• Listening to customers'' questions and responding clearly and accurately
• Taking ownership of queries and responding within agreed service levels
• Recognising complaints and passing them to the appropriate team
• Working with the wider Customer Services team to keep your knowledge up to date
• Identifying ways to improve the customer experience

Key Skills and Experience for a Customer Service Representative:

• Experience delivering excellent customer service in a high-volume environment, ideally a contact centre
• Strong listening skills and the ability to respond with empathy
• Clear verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain information in a balanced way
• Good attention to detail and sound judgement
• Confidence managing your workload and meeting deadlines
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
