This role provides an exceptional platform for an experienced editorial professional to lead the content strategy for two of the UK\''s most respected finance publications. We are seeking an experienced Content Editor to take editorial ownership of our flagship finance brands, Accountancy Age and The CFO. This role combines hands-on content creation with strategic editorial management across multiple channels including website publishing, daily email newsletters, and social media platforms.Specific Duties: Depending on the project requirements, you will be responsible for:Editorial Leadership and Content StrategyDevelop and implement editorial strategies that drive engagement and audience growth across Accountancy Age and The CFOManage daily editorial calendars, ensuring consistent, high-quality content deliveryCommission, edit, and publish breaking news articles, analysis pieces, and thought leadership contentMaintain editorial standards and brand voice across all content formatsMonitor industry trends and breaking news to identify content opportunitiesNewsletter ManagementLead daily and weekly newsletter production for both brands, including content curation, writing, and schedulingManage LinkedIn newsletter strategy and execution for professional audiencesCoordinate with commercial teams to integrate sponsored content and partnershipsTrack newsletter performance metrics and optimize for engagement and growthSocial Media and Digital ContentOversee social media content strategy across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and FacebookCreate and schedule social media posts using Buffer and other content management toolsDevelop platform-specific content that drives traffic and engagementCollaborate with the social media team to ensure consistent brand messagingCommercial CoordinationWork closely with commercial teams to integrate sponsored content and advertiser requirementsEnsure all commercial content maintains editorial integrity and audience valueCoordinate campaign timing and content placement across editorial calendarSupport business development initiatives with editorial insights and audience dataContent Performance and AnalyticsMonitor content performance across all channels and platformsProvide weekly reporting on editorial metrics and audience engagementUse data insights to refine content strategy and editorial approachContribute to broader business reporting and strategy discussionsStakeholder ManagementCollaborate with internal teams including commercial, marketing, and productBuild relationships with industry sources, thought leaders, and contributorsManage external partnerships and content collaborationsRepresent the brands at industry events and conferencesABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results in fast-moving editorial environments and be comfortable with the dynamic nature of digital publishing and content strategy.Education and ExperienceBachelor\''s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Finance, or related field3-5 years of editorial experience, preferably in B2B publishing or financial mediaProven experience managing multiple content channels and formatsExperience with newsletter management and social media content strategyTechnical SkillsProficiency with WordPress content management systemsExperience with social media management tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, or similar)Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimizationFamiliarity with email marketing platforms and newsletter tools (Marketo)Basic knowledge of content analytics and performance measurementCore CompetenciesExceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detailStrong understanding of the finance and accounting industry landscapeAbility to write compelling content for diverse audiences and platformsData-driven mindset with ability to interpret analytics and optimize content strategyStrong project management skills with ability to handle multiple deadlines simultaneouslyPersonal AttributesExcellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environmentOutstanding stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilitiesAbility to maintain composure and deliver quality work under tight deadlinesCollaborative team player who can also work independentlyCommercial awareness and understanding of B2B media business modelsGenuine interest in finance, accounting, and business newsPrevious experience in finance or accounting sector journalismProfessional accounting qualification or strong finance backgroundExperience with integrated marketing campaigns and commercial contentKnowledge of regulatory frameworks affecting finance professionals (MTD, ESG, etc.)Hands-on experience with AI content creation tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, Copy.ai, or similar)Track record of successfully implementing new technologies in editorial workflowsCLICKZ MEDIA VALUES
