Construction Engineer - Civil / Structural

Job role: Construction Engineer – Civil / Structural
Location: Site Based – Middlesbrough
  
We are recruiting for a Construction Engineer (Civil/Structural) to support a major onshore energy infrastructure project. This role is ideal for someone with experience in multi-disciplinary construction environments, especially in the energy, industrial, or infrastructure sectors.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee construction methodologies, risk assessments, and method statements
• Monitor site activities to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with project plans
• Interface with design teams and subcontractors to ensure constructability and technical alignment
• Contribute to construction scheduling, vendor documentation reviews, and cost planning
• Provide technical support and resolve site-based issues throughout project lifecycle

• ONC or above in Engineering (HNC/Degree/NVQ6 preferred)
• SMSTS and CSCS Black Card (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural construction activities
• Experience across groundworks, fit-out, structural erection, and crane operations
• Good understanding of QA/QC and industry safety standards
