Compensation Manager

OverviewSRM Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a leading private equity firm to hire a Carried Interest Controller to join their high-performing Finance Team. Base pay range£95,000.00 - £120,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

Carried Interest and Co-Investment

- Design and administer carried interest schemes, stay up-to-date with regulatory and legal developments; maintain and update carried interest calculations; prepare annual summary files for review processes; liaise with legal counsel, administrators, and governance boards to ensure timely approvals and processing; collaborate with Fund Administrators on capital contributions, transfers, and compliance submissions.

Payroll, Benefits and Finance

- Partner with the Compensation Manager and Payroll Administrator to prepare monthly payrolls across multiple jurisdictions; monitor budgets, update forecasts, and maintain recruitment cost tracking; post payroll journals and manage monthly accrual schedules; support year-end processes, including PAYE Settlement Agreements and payroll reconciliations; drive compensation projects and systems implementation as the firm expands; assist with payroll and benefits setup for new jurisdictions; produce reports and presentations for senior management and third parties.

Candidate Profile

Previous experience within financial services, Private Equity or investment management is highly desirable

Strong technical understanding of carried interest, taxation, and compensation structures

CTA qualification is advantageous

Advanced Excel skills with confidence in working with complex models
