Moorfields Eye Hospital is a world-leading provider of eye health services and a centre of excellence for ophthalmic research and education. This is an exciting time to join us as we pursue a five-year strategy focusing on innovation, research, and transforming patient care, including the new centre for eye care research and education in partnership with UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields Eye Charity.As Chief Nurse and Executive Director of Allied Health Professionals, you will lead the nursing and allied health professional workforce, cultivate a culture of continuing professional development, and drive improvement in patient care.

Main duties of the job

As overall lead for clinical governance and executive lead for the CQC Safe and Caring domains, you will work closely with the Chief Executive and other board members to shape the organisation and build strong relationships with current and future partners and stakeholders regionally, nationally and internationally.We are a high performing organisation, consistently meeting AandE and cancer targets and in the top five nationally for RTT, with ambition to transform to sustainable and scalable eye care.You will have either Board-level leadership experience or be an experienced aspiring deputy chief nurse who can demonstrate a passion for healthcare and Moorfields’ opportunities and challenges. Success in leading through periods of change while delivering sustainable organisational and cultural change is essential.
