CAMHS Specialist Grade Doctor: Tier 3 Community Sutton

Overview
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Specialist Grade Doctor to join our CAMHS team in Sutton, a leafy suburb of South West London. The postholder will work with a senior CAMHS Consultant and other experienced Mental Health Clinicians within the Service.This is a full time, 10PA substantive post. However, part time working can be negotiated. This is a new post due to configuration of services.To be eligible for this post, candidates must have a minimum of 12 years clinical experience, including 6 years in Psychiatry.This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, mature service to provide both medical and psychological treatment for individuals and families with severe mental health needs. There will also be opportunities for the post holder to lead on service development with the Consultant and senior leadership team. The candidate can take up a special interest and/or take an active role in teaching.Responsibilities
Provide medical and psychological treatment for individuals and families with severe mental health needs within CAMHS.Work within a multidisciplinary team in a community setting with links to local authorities, education, and the wider borough structure.Lead on service development with the Consultant and senior leadership team.Contribute to teaching and CPD opportunities.Qualifications and Experience
Specialist Grade Doctor/psychiatrist with relevant CAMHS experience.Minimum of 12 years clinical experience, including 6 years in Psychiatry.Organisation and Context
The post is within the CAMHS Directorate of Southwest London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, serving the boroughs of Richmond, Sutton, Kingston, Merton and Wandsworth. The Sutton CAMHS team is highly specialist with multidisciplinary links and access to trust-wide services including the DBT group program, eating disorders service, emergency services covering the 3 acute hospitals served by the Trust, Learning Disability Service, National CAMHS Deaf Service, and a Neurodevelopmental Team.
